Simple Syntax Help

The simple syntax allows you to put together very straightforward searches. At this time, there are two options. You can either find all pages that contain all keywords or all pages that contain any keyword. No punctuation, including brackets, braces, parentheses, or quotes is allowed. Geneva simple search has several additional search options: 

Case sensitivity The default is a case-insensitive search, but case sensitivity can be forced by checking the box. 

Partial matches Partial matches are matches on portions of words. For example, if the search string is "millenni", it will have a partial match with "premillennial", "amillennial", and "millennium". 

Misspellings allowed The search can be set to match misspelled words with a specified maximum number of spelling errors allowed. Alternatively, it can be used to match correctly spelled words to your misspelled search terms! :-) 

Max number of files returned This limits the number of files that can be returned in a single search. If more than the max number are found, a message is printed at the end to let you know that the maximum number was exceeded.
